Eat, drink, dance and go shopping

Birmingham is a city with a proud history. It played a central role in the industrial revolution and still retains its dynamism and vibrancy. Its clubs, café bars and restaurants cater to every taste. Birmingham is hard to beat when it comes to the wide choice of international cuisine on offer, from the Asian influences of China Town to the city’s food markets stocking a range of international or local products. Although Birmingham is the home of the Balti, a spicy curry, the city also has a wide range of international restaurants from Japanese, Latin American, Spanish, Caribbean, Italian and French eateries to name just a few. Birmingham is also regarded as a shopper’s paradise.

The Bullring Shopping Centre is a five minute walk from our Digbeth Campus. It’s one of the largest shopping malls in Europe, with more than 160 shops from Selfridges, Debenhams and Topshop to Zara and HMV. The Mailbox is also a short walk away, so you can stroll around the BBC, eat at a range of restaurants or indulge in some shopping at Armani, Harvey Nichols or Hugo Boss! Birmingham’s club life is superb with top DJs playing at the very best night-spots such as the Medicine Bar, Oceana, Bambu and the award-winning Air.
