Are there any entry requirements?
The course is perfect for people who have an interest in Technical Theatre with a view to following a career in the Performing Arts and Media Industry.  It is also ideal for Theatre Technicians who wish to receive formal recognition of their skills and knowledge.

The purpose of the qualification is to provide you with an introduction to an area of Technical Theatre that interests you e.g. sound, lighting, stage craft or costume design.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course but you should have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for working in Technical Theatre.

What will I study?
You will learn a broad range of skills and develop experiences of working in a range of areas including:

• Lighting and sound
• Media, TV and camera production
• Set building and design
• Health and safety practice and guidance
• Team building and working

What can I do after this course?
On successful completion of this course you could progress onto higher level qualifications at Level 2 and Level 3. You will also gain valuable skills that may help you to find a job or apply to other areas of work.
