Are there any entry requirements?
To enrol on this course you will need to have completed a Level 2 Diploma or NVQ 2 and have Key Skills at level 2.

What will I study?
You will study through a combination of practical and theoretical skills to form a substantial skills base and understanding of the trade.

You will study the following units:
Scaffolding
Concreting operations
Arch construction planning
Control and evaluation of operations
Setting out complex buildings
Complex brickwork and walling

Safety footwear is essential for workshop practical activities. You will need to supply your own stationery.

What can I do after this course?
This course provides you with an ideal grounding in essential skills for progression to craft levels, training in Brickwork and associated subjects.

You will need to show evidence of having the relevant site experience to achieve the NVQ 3: Brickwork.
