What will I study?
You will study 8 units in total: 3 core units, 2 compulsory personal skills
units and 3 optional units. The optional units will enable you to study particular
areas in more depth.
Core units:
Starting work in construction
Working in construction
Developing skills and working safely in construction
You can choose from the following personal skills units:
Personal effectiveness
Social responsibility at work
Financial management
You can choose from the following optional units:
Developing joinery skills
Developing trowel skills
Developing painting & decorating skills
Exploring the built environment
Basic building maintenance
What can I do after this course?
On successful completion of this course you could progress onto higher level
courses like the BTEC First Diploma: Construction or Intermediate Construction
Award in a specific construction trade.
