Are there any entry requirements?

To enrol on this course you need to have gained a level 1 Diploma or equivalent qualification in Brickwork and/or have had several years experience as a bricklayer. This course is ideal if you work in the industry, if you don't please refer to the level 2 Diploma: Brickwork.

What will I study?
You will need to compile a work-based portfolio of evidence/experience.

Some self-study and written assignment work is also required. Some classroom sessions will be held to help with portfolio building.

You will study the following core units and 1 optional unit:
Conform to general workplace safety
Conform to efficient work practices
Moving and handling resources
Erecting masonry structures

What can I do after this course?
This course will provide you with craft level training in Brickwork. On successful completion of this course you will be classed as a qualified bricklayer and you could progress onto the level 3 Diploma: Brickwork or the NVQ 3: Brickwork.
